Since I'm on a lightening and brightening kick lately, I thought I'd share a few lovely fresh spaces to enjoy and start off the weekend. Here are some living rooms decorated with a airy feel from Coastal Living. Enjoy!

The Beauty of Stained Glass

I just love stained glass windows, especially in old homes and churches. The intricate designs and vibrant colors look wonderful when sunlight streams through. They really can add a nice historic and unique style to a home. If I ever build a home someday, I would love to able to include a stained glass window or two. I also love the ones that are also just clear glass, but have the leaded borders between various geometric designs. They have a nice craftsman style look. Here are a few pictures I had saved of elegant stained and leaded glass.

Or you can even hang a stained glass window or panel on the wall like the photo below.I always wanted to take a class sometime to make a stained glass panel or lampshade, but the supplies are a little expensive.

White Delights

I just can't help it. I loooove white kitchen cabinets! I just think they look so bright and fresh. Plus pretty much any color goes with white, so you can paint the walls and add accessories in whatever fun colors you enjoy. While I'm working up the courage to paint my builder grade oak cabinets to a perky, happy white finish, I like to browse around to see other kitchens with white cabinetry. Since our cabinets are also knobless, I also like to look at the different colors and styles of hardware or "cabinet jewelry." Here are some beautiful spaces I have found.

Weekend of Bright Inspiration

Delightful Bathrooms

We are planning to some major work in both of our bathrooms this year to get rid of the builder grade vanities, faucets, light fixtures, and those big awful naked (frameless) mirrors.

Here are some pictures I'm come across to give some inspiration on different color schemes for bathrooms. While most of these are about 10 times bigger than my bathroom, they still give ideas on colors and fixtures.
