Kreativ Blogger Award

Julie at Growing Your Grass Greener was so kind as to award me with the Kreativ Blogger award. Thanks so much for the honor!

As part of accepting the award,  I am supposed to list 5 things about me that others may not know and pass the award on to 5 other bloggers. So I guess it's time for me to open up and spill some of my deep, dark, secrets. Ok, I don't really have any, but here's what I came up with:

1. I started dating my husband when I was only 17.

2. I don't really like chocolate all that much. (That's the shocker one!) I can only handle it in very small doses and I'd rather have a bowl of fruit instead. Please don't hate me!

3. I have a weird fear of heights. I can handle being way up in the mountains and driving along a narrow road with no guardrail, but if I get above the second step on a ladder I get freaked out.

4. I scored a 33 out of 36 on my ACT in high school. Not to brag or anything. Hope you still like me after confessing that and my feelings on chocolate.

5. I was in colorguard all through high school so I guess you could call me a band geek. Even though I can't play a note, I can twirl a flag.

I'm Thankful for YOU!

Since Thanksgiving is fast approaching, I have been thinking of the many wonderful blessings in my life that I am thankful for such as my family, my friends, and even my job. One of the new blessings in my life this year is this humble little blog. I started this blog several months ago because I loved reading all the many amazing blogs out there and I wanted to join in the fun. I have been so inspired by all the wonderful creative people out there that have given me so many ideas on how to make my house the cozy retreat I desire it to be without spending much money. I hope I have given you some helpful ideas and tips in return. I very much enjoy sharing my projects and crafts with you and I still amazed that there are so many of you out there that actually like my blog! I just wanted to say how thankful I am for all my new blog buddies. You guys rock!

I have soooo many ideas of projects I want to do just floating around in my head. I think I come up with a new idea almost everyday. I just wish I had more time to start and finish them! I will continue to show the  crafty projects and transformations I do manage to finish along with the many photos of beautiful idea rooms that I come across online. If you have any suggestions on things I should show more of or do differently, or if you have any questions please leave a comment or feel free to drop me a note at delightfuldwelling@hotmail.com  Again I just have to say to all my readers:

Getting a facelift

Not for me, for my blog! I'm not trying to confuse anyone with my blog background and template changing around. I'm just trying to get the right look and figure out what direction to head with my blog. So I'm going to try and make my own background, header, and buttons. Please bear with me while things change around. I promise to post a tutorial soon on how to add buttons at the top like I have now. I just have to remember how I did it first! And if anyone has suggestions on what content you would like to see on here, I'm open to all tips and suggestions.
